"The ancient city of Aphrodisias is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Greek and Roman periods in Turkey. Aphrodisias lies in the Maeander River basin, in a fertile valley 100 miles southeast of the port of Izmir. Famous for its sanctuary of Aphrodite, the city's patron goddess, Aphrodisias enjoyed a long and prosperous existence from the first century B.C. through the sixth century A.D. Today, many of the city's ancient monuments remain standing, and EXCAVATIONS have unearthed numerous fine marble statues and other artifacts. The great beauty and extraordinary preservation of this site combine to bring the civic culture of the Graeco-Roman world vividly to life."

[link]Last month I had a chance to visit this ancient city for two days (a wish I had for almost 20 years). It is enchanting. I did some shooting with a camera and a set of lenses that I am not quite familiar with, yet. That means I have to go back

. I will post some of the good ones which are not many.
At the time I was at Aphrodisias, master Ara Güler's photographical book "Call of Aphrodisias" came out in the market. Awesome, especially for those who are interested in photo reporting.

I like Bob Dylan too, I understand your favorite quote (and I think that is the necessary attitude for being able to know and understand something), I like the Space Odyssey myself (i think it's brilliant) and also the music (except afro-cuba because I didn't get a chance to listen to much of that, but I'm sure it's interesting).
I like your photographs, and I am also a cat person (I have 2
